A configurator that turns surface selection into an experience

San Marco, a company specialized in paints, coatings and building systems, asked us to design and develop a new configurator able to guide users in choosing the right finishes.

Clearly and engagingly: an experience designed both for private users looking for inspiration and for professionals who need to evaluate performance and solutions with precision.
 Users select the room and the style, and a 3D model immediately takes shape, allowing them to try colors, decorative finishes, microcements and resins in real time, instantly visualizing the final effect through applied textures.

3D Configurator

From configuration to product selection, the step can be short — especially when users can review the products used, find the nearest retailer thanks to the integrated store locator, and purchase or request information.

The application, developed in Nuxt, connects with the company PIM through a Laravel middleware that retrieves and processes data for the frontend. The 3D models, created by an external partner with deep knowledge of the San Marco world, were optimized in polygon count to ensure fast loading times and high visual quality, even on slower connections.

In short: an experience that takes users from testing to choosing, and from choosing to the point of sale — already looking ahead to the next step: e-commerce.
